Condor Pride/ 21st Century Skills
I love teaching at North County and am so happy to finally find my home after about 20 years as an educator. My students drive my passion for teaching! Who else can make me laugh on my worst days and challenge me on my best?
My teaching experience runs the gamut. I started teaching in a 1:1 environment before the internet existed. I've coordinated a laptop program, taught honors, was an instructional coach, and enjoyed my years in alternative education, especially teaching incarcerated high school boys. I look forward to the new experiences that await me each year. I love all things "Country" and I'm just so happy to be a Condor! |
Good Teaching is more a giving of right questions than a giving of right answers.” |
I am a mother of six, if you include my four children and two fur babies :) I absolutely cherish spending time with my family and travelling any chance we get. My dream is to load up my kids and pups and drive to Alaska on an 8 week road trip during summer vacation.
I lettered in high school basketball, track and volleyball, but volleyball was my passion. I played club and college volleyball, coached and officiated for many years. Our daughter inherited my love for the sport and I enjoyed being her first coach. She trained incredibly hard and earned a Division I scholarship. My son is now picking up the sport, so I very excited to cheer him on courtside as well :) My oldest and youngest daughters are performers so I am a big supportive of the performing arts as well! Naturally, I really enjoy watching all my kiddos compete and perform.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and hope that you will stop by my classroom and keep in touch over the years so I can celebrate your successes throughout life!
